Description

The open source LiveLaunch Discord bot creates scheduled events in your guild when enabled using the data from the Launch Library 2 API, ran by The Space Devs. The events are maintained by the bot, so they remain up to date with the most recent information.
This means the bot will automatically start, cancel and move the events around when the schedule changes.

Secondly, the news feature can send the latest space related news to your specified channel. Servers can even filter their news by adding news site filters. The news feature uses the Spaceflight News API (SNAPI), which is also ran by The Space Devs.

Further more, the bot can also send YouTube livestreams in your assigned channel using Discord webhooks to make it look like the actual YouTube channel.

The bot can also send notifications in the form of countdowns and status changes (liftoff, hold, payload deployed, success/failure/partial failure).
The countdown can be enabled for events and/or launches and include/exclude the Discord scheduled events when enabled.
The status notifications can be configured independently, so you could only enable liftoff notifications if desired.

Setup

The easiest setup is done through the LiveLaunch dashboard. There you can easily invite, enable and configure LiveLaunch for your needs.

LiveLaunch also support configuration through Discord commands. Invite the bot and use /help to get started.

Commands

• Show upcoming events with /nextevent:
  • amount: Amount of events [1-10]
• Show upcoming rocket launches with /nextlaunch:
  • amount: Amount of launches [1-10]
• The bot is enabled using the /enable command with the following options:
  • notifications: Send notifications to the specified channel
  • news: Send space related news to the specified channel
  • messages: Send YouTube livestreams to the specified channel
  • events: Create events with a maximum of 50
• Scheduled events can be synchronized using the /synchronize command, for example when you accidentally remove one.
• Features can be disabled using the /disable command
• News site filters can be modified using the /newsfilter command with the following options:
  • list List all news sites, available and enabled in the server
  • add newssite: Filter out the specified news site
  • remove newssite: Remove the news site from the filter
• Notification settings are changed by using the /notifications commands
  • countdown List all news sites, available and enabled in the server
    • list List all countdown times currently configured
    • add Add a new countdown time to the notifications.
      • days: Amount of days
      • hours: Amount of hours
      • minutes: Amount of minutes
    • remove Remove countdown times by index, which can be seen by using list
  • general Filter out the specified news site
    • everything: Enable/disable all general & launch_status settings
    • events: Enable/disable event countdown notifications
    • launches: Enable/disable launch countdown notifications
    • include_scheduled_events: Whether or not to include the Discord scheduled events within the countdown notification
  • launch_status Remove the news site from the filter
    • end_status: Receive the final status of a launch
    • deploy: Receive a payload deployment notification
    • hold: Receive a notification when a launch is on hold
    • liftoff: Receive a liftoff notification
    • go: Receive a notification when the launch is a go
    • tbc: Receive a notification when the launch is now to be confirmed
    • tbd: Receive a notification when the launch is now to be determined

Terms of Service

LiveLaunch only needs the mentioned permissions in the invite on your Discord server to perform its tasks. It will not need anything else.
