Server Exchange

This bot allows server members to invest in one another, as if every member is a company on the stock market.

Every member is put on a leaderboard, given a share price and number of shares (by default, $10 and 1000 respectively). Every member starts with $1000 to invest in others. How your own shares are doing does not affect your balance. It follows supply and demand, the more shares are bought, the higher the price of shares get, and vice versa.

Dividends are a mechanic where "whitelisted" reactions to a member's messages deposit money straight into the balance of that member's shareholders. For example, if a message receives 2 whitelisted reactions, $100 will be shared between all the shareholders of whoever sent the message (split based on shares owned). This begins counting at two, so one whitelisted reaction wont do anything. Blacklisted reactions do something a little different. Blacklisted reactions don't affect dividends, but rather directly decrease the share price of the member whose message received more than 1 blacklisted reaction (by default -10 cents).

The market is only open at certain times, so people can't trade while others are asleep for example. It makes everything a bit more fair. This is set to 14:00 (2PM) opening and 02:00 (2AM) closing by default.

Moderators have access to an admin panel, where they can tweak various things, such as whitelisted and blacklisted reactions, member share price, number of member shares, and market open and close times.
