About RainScrum Messenger
No Learning Curve Drag a card to another column. Drag a column somewhere else. Double-click a title to rename it. Right-click anything for the rest. That's most of it. Works on a phone, too.
On the board • Priority, points, category, due date, who's on it, and whether it's blocked and why • Give a column a limit and the count turns amber when you go over • Switch projects with tabs, or Alt+1 to Alt+9 • Deleted things stay recoverable for 30 days
User stories Group the board by story and each story gets its own row, so you can see its tasks sitting in different columns at once. Delete a story and its tasks stay put.
Your own fields Add checklists, text, numbers, dates or dropdowns to a project. A "Definition of Done" checklist turns up on every task with its items ready to tick off. Save a project's setup as a template and reuse it on the next one. Hide the built-in fields you don't want.
From chat
• /task WEB-42 — posts the task in the channel and pings whoever has it
• /update WEB-42 done — also wip, @someone, pts:5, due:friday, story:WEB-S2, !blocked waiting on design, or just a note
• /board — the whole board as a picture
• /chart — how much is done against how much there is. Add daily:on and it posts every day.
• A daily summary of what moved, what's due and what's blocked, in a channel you pick. If nothing happened, it says nothing.
• A DM when someone assigns you something, and one click to turn those off.
• Point a channel at a project so opening the board there goes straight to it.
Free while it's in early access. The lightbulb in the corner sends feature requests straight to me.
