RatScanner checks Minecraft mods for malware before you run them.

Run /scan and attach a mod .jar (up to 3 at once). The bot replies with:

• a verdict: Clean, Low, Suspicious, Undeterminable, High risk or Malicious, plus a risk score out of 100
• what the mod is: name, version, loader and how many classes it has
• the findings that drove the score, with the class where each one fired
• an All findings button that sends the full list, with evidence, privately as a text file

It runs the same engine as ratscanner.org, so a result in Discord matches the website. The site also has a code viewer with a decompiler, scan by URL and a Windows app that checks new mods the moment they land in your mods folder.

Good to know

• Scans are static: the bot reads a mod's code without running it. "Clean" means no rule matched, not a guarantee. Code a mod downloads or decrypts at runtime can't be seen, and those jars are marked Undeterminable.
• Jars up to 128 MB.
• Needs only View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links and Attach Files. No admin or moderation permissions.
