StreamBridge connects Discord with your livestream chats and helps keep your community in one shared conversation.

This Discord app adds StreamBridge’s Discord integration to your server. StreamBridge itself can also be used without Discord as a standalone cross-platform chat relay between streaming services.

What it can do

StreamBridge can relay chat between:

• Discord
• Twitch
• YouTube
• Kick
• Additional platforms supported through Social Stream Ninja, including TikTok and others

Messages can be relayed not only between Discord and streaming platforms, but also directly between the streaming platforms themselves.

For example, a Twitch message can be relayed to YouTube and Kick, while a Discord message can be sent to those same chats. Messages from those platforms can also appear back in Discord.

Discord integration

You can connect one Discord text channel or voice-channel side chat to your StreamBridge setup.

Discord forwarding and receiving are controlled independently, so you can choose to:

• Send Discord messages to your streaming chats
• Display streaming chat inside Discord
• Enable both directions

When messages from streaming platforms appear in Discord, StreamBridge uses webhooks so they can display the original chatter’s name, source platform, profile image when available, and message content.

Direct connections

StreamBridge can connect directly to:

• Twitch
• YouTube
• Kick

These direct connections do not require Social Stream Ninja to be running.

You can link your accounts through the StreamBridge dashboard and choose which platforms participate in the relay.

Social Stream Ninja integration

StreamBridge can also connect to a Social Stream Ninja session for access to additional platforms and destinations.

When Social Stream Ninja is available, StreamBridge can use it for relaying. If it goes offline, StreamBridge can return to your configured direct Twitch, YouTube, and Kick connections.

Custom relay messages

For direct platform relays, administrators can customize the message format using:

• {name}
• {message}
• {platform}

For example:

[{platform}] {name}: {message}

Discord custom emotes

StreamBridge supports relaying Discord custom emotes across connected chats so they can remain recognizable when messages move between Discord and streaming platforms.

Loop and duplicate prevention

StreamBridge tracks recently relayed messages and delivery history to reduce duplicate messages, echoes, and relay loops between Discord and streaming platforms.

Web dashboard

The StreamBridge dashboard can be used to:

• Link Discord, Twitch, YouTube, and Kick accounts
• Enable direct platform connections
• Configure Social Stream Ninja
• Choose the Discord relay channel
• Enable Discord forwarding and receiving independently
• Customize direct relay message formatting
• View and manage your StreamBridge configuration

Changes made through Discord commands and the dashboard use the same configuration.

Discord commands

Administrators can manage the Discord side of StreamBridge with commands including:

• /channel set — Choose the Discord relay channel and configure forwarding/receiving
• /channel remove — Disable Discord relay while keeping the saved channel
• /direct setup — Open the dashboard to link and configure direct platforms
• /direct enable — Enable a linked direct platform
• /direct disable — Disable a direct platform without unlinking it
• /direct message — Customize direct relay formatting
• /ssn connect — Connect a Social Stream Ninja session
• /ssn disconnect — Disconnect Social Stream Ninja
• /switchmessages — Control relay-mode switch notices
• /status — View the current StreamBridge configuration

Optional Discord use

Discord is not required to use StreamBridge.

Without this bot installed, StreamBridge can still relay chat directly between supported streaming platforms through the web dashboard.

Installing the StreamBridge Discord app adds Discord as another participant in that relay, allowing your Discord community to send messages to and receive messages from your live chats.
