GuardBot

The slur filter that catches what the others let through — and tells you what it did.

Most word filters are a list of words and a substring check. They miss s l u r, they miss $lur, they miss ѕlur written with a Cyrillic s, and they ban anyone who mentions Scunthorpe. GuardBot was built around that problem first, and everything else second.

What it catches

It ships with an 800-term list — slurs, strong profanity, mild profanity — tagged by category. Each server picks its own level with /setup filter: slurs only, plus strong profanity, or everything. Switch off whole categories with /setup category. Allow-list any word. The bot handles the spellings.

What it doesn't catch "Scunthorpe." "Assassin." "Class." Whole-word matching, an allow-list for innocent words, and a Wrong call button on every report that teaches the bot for your server — one press, and that word never triggers there again. Your weekly digest shows the accuracy figure, so you know how it's doing instead of hoping.

Test any phrase privately with /blocklist test, and check your whole setup with /setup check — a ✅/❌ list that tells you exactly what to fix.

Free vs paid Free — the alarm. A slur is posted. Your mod-log gets the evidence (spoiler-tagged), a jump link, and Delete / Mute buttons. A moderator clicks. Done. Paid — the reflex. The message is deleted, the author is muted, staff get the report and the offender gets a DM explaining why — usually before anyone else reads it. Repeat offenders get longer mutes automatically: 5 min → 1 hour → 1 day → 7 days → 28 days.

One plan, five servers Plans belong to you, not to a server. $5 covers 1 server, $15 covers 5, $40 covers 20. Subscribe once, /premium link in each server you run, move a seat any time with /premium unlink. Every new server gets a 14-day trial of everything.

Setup takes two minutes

1. Invite the bot and put its role above the roles it should moderate.
2. /setup modlog — creates #mod-log for you.
3. /setup check — confirms everything, or tells you what to fix.

Everything else is optional and off by default.
