Football Nation

The Football Nation bot is a bot that sends live scores and events for football games (soccer).

After you set up what leagues and football teams you like, it will start sending updates on when the fixtures will start and end and when a goal is scored, including who scored the goal for what team.

How to set up the bot

1. Invite the bot to your server, click here to invite

2. Instruct the bot to start sending live scores to your preferred channel. You can do this for example for the Champions League by saying /live name:uefa-champions-league.

3. Now you will receive live updates. You can also check what fixtures are live via /live-now and show the upcoming fixtures for the teams and leagues you activated via /live-upcoming.

Available leagues and teams

Thanks to slash commands you can just start typing a league or team name. Then the slash command will filter all available leagues and teams. So the live commands recognizes both team and league names. For example /live name:premier-league. You can also subscribe to just one team, for example /live name:liverpool.

You can also use our quick copy-paste commands by visiting the Football Nation bot landing page and clicking the "Quick copy-paste commands" link. Here you will find an overview of all the commands for all the available leagues. For the team commands you use the search bar on top of the website and search for team you want to get live notifications for. On the team page there is an easy copy link.

Stop the live events

If you want to stop receiving all events in one channel you can type /live-stop-all. To stop a specific league or team call for example /live-stop name:premier-league.

Tip: Make a channel for each league. If you combine too many leagues in one channel, the bot can get spammy.

Organize prediction games

It is also possible to organize prediction games with the bot. You can organize a prediction game for the Champions League for example. Your members will be able to enter their predictions via the /predict command. With automations, you will be able to show rankings for who made the best predictions.
