🦠 Discord Pandemic

Discord Pandemic is a multiplayer infection game that takes place naturally inside your Discord server.

Chat in your usual channels, spread your strain to other members, earn DNA, and evolve through five upgrade trees. Play casually whenever you send a message, or actively return for research, missions, mutations, outbreaks, upgrades, and more.

Getting started is simple: invite the bot, run /tutorial, then open /play.

🦠 How infections work

Every eligible message has a chance to leave a hidden exposure in its channel. When another uninfected member speaks there, they become infected and every player responsible for an exposure earns DNA.

• Base exposure chance: 20%
• Base infection reward: 100 DNA
• Infection duration: 15 minutes
• Multiple players can expose the same channel and share the reward
• A 🦠 reaction appears when a message causes an infection

Discord Pandemic never reads the contents of your messages. It only uses the member, server, channel, and message event needed to run the game.

🎮 Your /play dashboard

The /play command is your main dashboard and brings everything together in one place.

From /play, you can quickly see:

• Your current DNA and prestige
• Active infection status
• Laboratory boosts
• Ability cooldowns
• Daily mission progress
• Recent rewards
• Quick-access controls

🔬 There is always something to do

You do not have to wait around for another player to get infected.

🔬 Research

Run /research every five minutes to earn DNA.

Research can also produce a breakthrough, giving you double the normal result.

📋 Daily missions

Every player receives three missions each UTC day.

At least two can always be completed alone, while active servers may also receive infection-based objectives.

🎁 Daily rewards

Use /daily to build a seven-day claim streak, increasing your reward from 300 to 600 DNA.

🧪 Laboratory boosts

Use /lab to discover a temporary DNA or infection-rate boost lasting two hours.

🧬 Mutations

Mutate your strain every 30 minutes for a weighted DNA reward.

Some mutations are considerably rarer than others.

🎯 Random infections

Use /random-infection once per hour to infect eligible server members.

Upgrades can increase the number of unique targets infected with each use.

🌍 Work together during outbreaks

Every server receives a new cooperative outbreak each day.

Infections made by members of the server contribute toward a shared target.

Rewards unlock at:

• ⅓ completion
• ⅔ completion
• Full completion

Contributors can earn up to 850 DNA from an outbreak.

More active servers receive larger outbreak targets, but targets are always capped so they remain achievable.

🧬 Evolve your strain

Spend DNA through the interactive buttons in /upgrades.

There are five upgrade trees:

🧬 Replication

Earn more DNA from every infection.

🦠 Virality

Increase your chance of leaving an exposure.

⚗️ Passive Synthesis

Automatically generate DNA every 15 minutes.

🎯 Random Infection

Infect more unique targets with /random-infection.

🔬 Research Output

Earn more DNA whenever you use /research.

⭐ Prestige

Once every upgrade tree is complete, you can use /prestige to begin a new strain.

Prestiging resets your:

• DNA
• Upgrades

But permanently increases all future DNA earnings by 10%.

You can prestige up to 10 times, making each new strain stronger than the last.

There are several ways to see how you and your server are doing.

Use /profile to inspect a player's strain.

Use /leaderboard to compare server or global rankings.

Use /graph to view daily or all-time infection history.
