WHAT IS BLAZING 8S?

Blazing 8s is an Activity that we've developed here at Discord. It is our Crazy Eights-inspired card game that you can play with your friends! The rules are simple — on your turn, discard a card from your hand with the same suit or number as the previous card. Playing special cards allows you to skip other players, reverse the direction of play, and even swap hands with other players. The first person to discard all their cards wins!

HOW TO PLAY BLAZING 8S

These instructions may be slightly different on mobile.

1. After opening up the game and tapping on Join Game, you can select your background and cardback. This will change the themes for ALL players.

2. Once you have enough players (2-5), tap on Start Now to start the game.

3. Each player gets a turn to either play a card from your hand or draw a card (if you don’t have a card you can play). You need to match the color of the card that has been placed already, match the card type, or you can play a specialty card.

4. There are also special cards that you can use against your opponents in your favor. Let’s go over each type.

• Wild Eight Card: When you play this card, you can pick the color of the next suit. This card can be played anytime.
• Quick Draw Card: All opponents draw 1 card.
• Wrong Way Card: Reverse the direction of the game’s play order.
• Giddy Up Card: Skips the next player’s turn.
• Oscar’s Swap Card: Swap your cards with the next player’s cards, you can play this card anytime.

5. The game will end once one player has no more cards left.
