MediaFilez downloads public video, images, and audio from links and sends the result back to Discord as an attachment.

How to use it

Run /media, paste a public link, then choose an output:

• Auto: Detects the available media and returns the best matching result.
• Video: Downloads a playable video.
• Image / video frame: Returns an image, page preview, or a frame from a video.
• Audio: Downloads audio or extracts the audio track from a video.

Fit to Discord's upload limit

Discord provides MediaFilez with the attachment size limit that applies to each request. This can vary depending on the user, server, and Discord's current upload rules.

If Fit to limit is enabled and the media is too large, MediaFilez tries to reduce it enough to upload:

• Video may be compressed or adjusted.
• Audio may be re-encoded at a smaller size.
• Images may have their quality or resolution reduced.

MediaFilez keeps the original media unchanged when it already fits. If a file cannot be reduced enough at usable settings, the bot returns an error instead of uploading a broken file.

Works with popular platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X / Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Twitch, Vimeo, Pinterest, SoundCloud, Bilibili, Dailymotion, Snapchat, Bluesky, Imgur, Flickr, and more.

It also supports direct public links to common video, image, and audio files, and may work with other public pages when they provide usable media.

• MediaFilez is for publicly accessible content.
• Some public links may occasionally fail when a site changes, blocks access, removes content, or expires its media links.
• MediaFilez does not bypass private accounts, private posts, paywalls, DRM, or removed content.
• You never need to give MediaFilez your personal account password or login details.
• Only download media you have permission to access and save.
