Analysis
The 4,820 tracked bots ended December with 256,904,571 servers between them, up 2,427,938 from the start of the month, a gain of 0.95 percent. Growth was spread across the index: 3,097 bots added servers and 936 lost them.
Jockie Music posted the largest raw gain of any bot, adding 210,000 servers to reach 7,740,000, a rise of 2.79 percent. Carl-bot added 200,000 to reach 13,400,000, and Dyno and ProBot each added 100,000, finishing at 11,100,000 and 10,300,000. Ticket Tool added 90,000 to reach 5,020,000, and Mimu added 70,000 to reach 3,410,000. At the top of the table, MEE6 (21,100,000), Rythm (14,900,000) and Midjourney Bot (10,800,000) were unchanged for the month.
The fastest percentage growth came from smaller bots. Glizzy rose 225.87 percent to 2,330 servers and ChatGPTAI rose 149.59 percent to 1,520. Welcome Bot added 2,410 servers, a gain of 76.03 percent, to reach 5,580, and Diva added 13,600 to reach 38,800, up 53.97 percent. Losses among large bots were small: Dank Memer fell 20,000 to 8,910,000 (down 0.22 percent) and Hydra fell 10,000 to 6,280,000. The steepest decline was heist, which dropped 3,454 servers to 96, a fall of 97.3 percent.
Several bots crossed milestones. TTS Bot passed 1,000,000 servers and finished at 1,030,000, while Reaction Roles and DraftBot each reached exactly 1,000,000. Craig passed 500,000 and closed at 502,000. JukeDisc and Sx Bot each passed 100,000, and seven bots passed 10,000: PowerBot, Magic Garden, VCStats, Hayley Clark, Apolo, Bannerfly, Bestemmiometro and Studybot.
By category, Utilities grew fastest at 1.75 percent, adding 442,819 servers across 1,157 bots. Moderation and Tools added 1,687,031 servers (up 1.07 percent) and remains the largest category by servers at 158,952,948. Social added 1,582,513 servers (up 0.9 percent), Entertainment added 246,259 (up 0.71 percent) and Games added 204,074 (up 0.61 percent).
The month added 165 new bots to the index. Honeypot was the largest debut with 214,000 servers, far ahead of the next newcomers: LyraBot at 10,300, stain at 8,090 and ARCTracker.io at 3,680.
